'Esplanade - Theatres on the Bay' is Singapore's arts centre, equivalent perhaps to London's Barbican or Southbank Centre. It has a good sized theatre and a concert hall, visual arts spaces, shops, restaurants and apparently a library. I popped down to see what was going on, and catch a few short animations showing in one of the open spaces.

A heartwarming series of photographs by Jean Loo Qing Wen - following a trio of young monks (brothers) from Myanmar - was along the entranceway from the MRT (below).
The Esplanade building is memorable and I think based on the spiky Asian fruit the durian - though it also has distinct armadillo resemblances to me! It was designed by a collaboration of Michael Wilford & Partners in the UK and Singapore's DP Architects.
